Tenerife party holiday FAQ: the questions people ask before they book

Straight answers for someone planning a party holiday in Tenerife South, using only what the clubs and the official ticket pages publish.

Clubs & nights

Where is the nightlife in Tenerife?

The club nights on this site are all in the south of the island. Playa de las Américas has Papagayo, El Nido and Mala Mía, plus OA Beach Club on the seafront for afternoon beach parties; Monkey Beach Club is next door to Papagayo, on the Costa Adeje side of Playa de Troya; WILD is in Los Cristianos. The rest of Costa Adeje has the hotels and a walk or a taxi to the clubs. Santa Cruz in the north has its own scene, not covered here.

What is on on Fridays and Saturdays?

Friday: La Loka at Papagayo (reggaeton and open format, in a 1,500-capacity club) or Nasty at Mala Mía. Saturday: Essence at Papagayo (house and tech house) or Urban Tenerife at Mala Mía, and before them, until 28 November, a beach party at OA Beach Club from 17:00.

Are there boat parties or pool parties?

Not on sale right now. Boat parties are back in 2027. Leave your email on the boat party page to be told when tickets are released.

Times & the door

What time do clubs open and close in Tenerife?

On the ticket pages every club night on this site opens at 23:00 (the White Party at 22:30), and Papagayo lists its own doors from 22:00; the beach parties at OA Beach Club open at 17:00. Closing times: the Halloween Beach Party 23:00, Glow Night 03:00, the White Party 03:45, Guayeteo 04:00, and Papagayo's main room from 03:00 to 05:00 depending on the night, as the club's own programme lists. Mala Mía, Tumbao and the Saturday Tenerife Beach Party give no closing time. Door cut-offs: OA Beach Club 19:00 (late fee), Papagayo 01:00, El Nido 00:30, Mala Mía 01:30.

Is there a dress code?

The White Party asks for all white. Papagayo publishes a casual dress code for all its nights: smart shorts are fine; leave cargo trousers, tracksuit bottoms and football shirts at the hotel. The other venues on this site publish none.

What is the minimum age?

Canary Islands law bans serving alcohol to under-18s and makes venues that admit minors close by 23:00, so the club nights on this site are over-18s; Papagayo states it outright and asks for a physical DNI, NIE or passport. The afternoon beach parties at OA Beach Club publish no minimum age; the ban on serving alcohol to under-18s applies there too. Bring a passport or national ID card.

Tickets

How much are club tickets in Tenerife?

It depends on the night and the date: tickets are sold per date on GetYourTickets, and each event page on this site shows the current price. Mala Mía's ticket includes a drink and a shot. Some nights sell higher tiers.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

Yes, if you want the published price. Papagayo and Monkey Beach charge a difference at the door after 01:00, OA Beach Club a late fee after 19:00, and El Nido closes its door at 00:30. Tickets are per date.

Staying & getting around

Which area should I stay in?

Playa de las Américas to walk to everything; Costa Adeje at the Puerto Colón end for quieter days and a twenty-minute walk to Papagayo; Los Cristianos for a town, WILD on the doorstep and a taxi per night. See Where to stay.

How do I get around at night?

Walk inside Playa de las Américas; take a taxi from Costa Adeje north of Puerto Colón and from Los Cristianos; TITSA line 467 runs late along the strip and line 711 runs through the night to the airport. Taxis are metered; we do not quote fares because we have not found an official table online.
