Venue

Papagayo, in detail

Papagayo Tenerife is a beach club on the Playa de Troya seafront by day and a 1,500-capacity club five nights a week. In 2026 it entered DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs at number 76. This page is the practical version: which night is which, when to arrive and how to get there from wherever you are sleeping.

What it is

A multi-level beach club that becomes a nightclub after dark. DJ Mag lists it at a capacity of 1,500 over two floors with five bars, open-air terraces and reserved areas around a central dancefloor. The tourism board describes the day side: bar, restaurant, cocktails, brunches and dinners from Wednesday to Sunday, with sunset views towards the neighbouring islands. The club has a second room, El Nido, with its own programme and its own ticket, and an associated restaurant, AWA. Music across the week moves between house, tech house, Latin tech, Afro house, reggaeton, open format and disco, so the night you pick matters more than the venue.

The week at Papagayo

Wednesday, Move On: funky, house and classics. Thursday, Follow: Latin tech and Afro house, on sale every Thursday to 31 December; on 24 and 31 December the club's own programme lists its Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve parties, so check the date before you buy. Friday, La Loka: reggaeton, urban and open format. Saturday, Essence: house, tech house and groove; on 31 October and 21 November the club's own programme lists Halloween x La Loka and Mindout Carry On. Sunday, Piknik: disco, funk and house in the main room, the night the club's own programme calls Freak & Chic. Sunday in El Nido, Glow Night: reggaeton, dembow and Brazilian funk. Every night starts at 23:00 on the ticket pages; the club lists doors from 22:00. The club's own programme also lists other nights in El Nido; this page covers the nights on sale here.

Door rules the club publishes

Last normal entrance at 01:00 on Move On, Follow, La Loka, Essence and Piknik: the ticket pages state that people arriving later may have to pay a difference at the door. Glow Night in El Nido closes its door at 00:30 and runs until 03:00. The club's own programme lists the main room until 03:00 on Wednesdays and Sundays, 04:00 on Thursdays and 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The dress code is casual: smart shorts are welcome; leave cargo trousers, tracksuit bottoms and football shirts at the hotel. Papagayo is over-18s only and asks for a physical DNI, NIE or passport at the door, so bring the original, not a photo on your phone.

Tickets

Tickets are sold per date through GetYourTickets; every link on this site goes there. Each event page shows the current price, and some nights list more than one tier. Buy before you go out: after 01:00 the ticket pages warn of a difference to pay at the door.

Tables

Papagayo handles tables directly on its own website: each date lists the tables available, the area, how many people each one holds and its price, and you book there.

How to get there

The address for the taxi driver is Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina 2, on the Playa de Troya seafront. From Playa de las Américas it is a walk: Mala Mía on Calle México is fifteen minutes away and Monkey Beach Club is next door at number 3. From Costa Adeje, Puerto Colón is twenty minutes on foot along the promenade, Playa de Fañabé forty and Playa del Duque forty-five (thirteen minutes by car). From Los Cristianos it is 3.3 km along the coast, forty-five minutes on foot or ten by taxi. TITSA line 467 stops in San Eugenio, a short walk away, and runs late. From the airport it is about 19 km, roughly twenty minutes by taxi. Walking times are OpenStreetMap street routes measured on 8 October 2026.

Pick your night

If you want big-room electronic music, Essence on Saturday. If you want Latin tech and Afro house, Follow on Thursday. If you want reggaeton and open format, La Loka on Friday. If you want reggaeton, dembow and Brazilian funk in Papagayo's second room, Glow Night on Sunday. If you want disco, funk and house, Piknik on Sunday; for house and the classics, Move On on Wednesday. Each night has its own article on this site with the detail. Pick one, check the calendar for the date, book.
