  • Arrive at a club between 00:00 and 00:45, or at OA Beach Club before 19:00, to beat every cut-off.

  • The White Party asks for all white; Papagayo's dress code is casual, with smart shorts welcome.

Opening times and door rules change from club to club, so check the page of each party; the one thing to get right is your arrival time. Here is how the night runs, using only the rules published on the official ticket pages and on the clubs' own websites. Where a club has not published a rule, we say so rather than guess.

Opening time versus arrival time

On the ticket pages, every club night on this site opens at 23:00; Papagayo's own programme lists its doors from 22:00. The White Party at Monkey Beach Club starts at 22:30. Those are door-opening times; what matters is being inside before the cut-off. The beach parties at OA Beach Club work the other way round: doors at 17:00, in daylight, and the time to be inside is before 19:00.

At the clubs, the sweet spot for arrival is between 00:00 and 00:45 (before 00:30 at El Nido): you are in before any cut-off. Closing times: the Halloween Beach Party at OA Beach Club ends at 23:00, Glow Night at El Nido runs until 03:00, the White Party until 03:45 and Guayeteo at WILD until 04:00. Papagayo's own programme lists its main room until 03:00 on Wednesdays and Sundays, 04:00 on Thursdays and 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Mala Mía, Tumbao at WILD and the Saturday Tenerife Beach Party give no closing time on their ticket pages.

The door rules that matter

Papagayo Tenerife (Move On, Follow, La Loka, Essence and Piknik): last normal entrance at 01:00. The ticket pages state that people arriving later may have to pay a difference at the door. The ticket is not void, but it stops being the full price of admission.

El Nido at Papagayo (Glow Night): the door closes at 00:30. Entry ends then rather than costing extra, so this is the night to arrive early.

Monkey Beach Club (The White Party): a surcharge for anyone arriving after 01:00. The ticket page sets the dress code: white.

Mala Mía (Chicas al Poder, Nasty, Urban Tenerife): doors at 23:00 and last entrance at 01:30. The ticket includes entry, one drink and one shot.

WILD Tenerife (Guayeteo, Tumbao): doors at 23:00; Guayeteo closes at 04:00. No last-entrance rule is published.

OA Beach Club (Tenerife Beach Party, Halloween Beach Party): doors at 17:00 and a late-arrival fee at the door for anyone arriving after 19:00. No dress code is published.

Buying online versus paying at the door

Buy online. The ticket links on this site go to GetYourTickets, which sells official tickets for these nights, and the price you see there is the price you pay. Online you lock in the published price and arrive with your ticket ready. The ticket does not cover a late arrival, though: Papagayo and Monkey Beach charge a difference at the door after 01:00, and OA Beach Club a fee after 19:00.

Tickets are per date. A series like La Loka has a separate ticket for every Friday, so check the date in your basket before you pay. Some nights sell several tiers (Move On, the White Party and the two OA Beach Club parties at the time of writing): the ticket page shows the price of each tier.

Age and ID

Canary Islands law bans serving alcohol to anyone under 18, and any venue that lets minors in has to close by 23:00. In practice that makes every club night listed here an over-18s night, and door staff can ask for proof. Papagayo, El Nido included, says it outright: over-18s only, with a physical DNI, NIE or passport, so bring the original rather than a photo on your phone. The afternoon beach parties at OA Beach Club publish no minimum age, but the ban on serving alcohol to under-18s applies there too. Bring a passport or national ID card.

None of the six venues on this site publishes a minimum age above 18.

Dress code

The White Party at Monkey Beach Club asks for all white. Papagayo publishes a casual dress code for all its nights, El Nido included: smart shorts are welcome; leave cargo trousers, tracksuit bottoms and football shirts at the hotel. The other venues on this site publish no dress code.

Tables

Papagayo and Monkey Beach Club handle their reserved areas directly: Papagayo on its own website, where each date lists its tables and their prices, and Monkey Beach through the phone number on its beach parties page.

The timeline of a good night

21:00 dinner in your zone. 22:30 a drink near the club, not at it. 00:00 to 00:45 walk in (before 00:30 at El Nido). After that, closing times vary by night: at Papagayo, from 03:00 to 05:00. If you are in Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos, decide before you go out whether you are walking or taking a taxi home, and keep the fare in a separate pocket.

Frequently asked questions

What time should I arrive at Papagayo?

Between midnight and 00:45. Last normal entrance is 01:00 and anyone later may pay a difference at the door.

Does my ticket get me in at any time?

No. Papagayo and Monkey Beach publish a cut-off (01:00) after which late arrivals pay more at the door; El Nido closes its door at 00:30; Mala Mía takes its last entries at 01:30; OA Beach Club charges a late fee after 19:00.

Is there a dress code in Tenerife clubs?

The White Party asks for all white. Papagayo publishes a casual dress code for all its nights: smart shorts are fine; leave cargo trousers, tracksuit bottoms and football shirts at the hotel. The other venues on this site publish none.

Can I get in under 18?

Not to the club nights. Under Canary Islands law venues that serve alcohol cannot serve under-18s and venues open to minors close at 23:00, so these nights are over-18s, and Papagayo states it outright. The beach parties at OA Beach Club publish no minimum age, but no one under 18 can be served alcohol there either. Bring a passport or ID card; at Papagayo, the original document.
